Welcome to Soft Paw Care 🐾
Where every paw, tail, and whisker matters.
The majority of pet care websites feel as though they are being composed by an individual who has never owned a pet. It is generic advice, cold-toned, and you leave with more questions than answers. SoftPawCare is there because we got fed up with that experience.
Our pets gave us the motivation to write about what we learned the hard way. All the articles on this site are based on actual research and actual experience, with the wish to make you treat the animals who share the home and life you have.
Who We Are
SoftPawCare is founded and operated by a small group of dog and cat owners who among them, have petted puppies, handled older pets, incurred unforeseen vet fees, and had far too many late nights reading about the symptoms on unreliable internet sites.
We are not veterinarians. We will never pretend to be. However, we are humans who are keen on getting the information correct, and hence each article that we release undergoes a thorough review procedure before it can be made available to the audience. We make it clear and refer to credible sources when a subject demands a professional veterinary approach.
Our goal is simple. Provide you with the type of information that will put you in a better position to make better decisions on behalf of your pet today, not when you have perused through ten perplexing articles someday.
What We Cover
The reason why SoftPawCare specializes in dogs and cats is due to the fact that this is where our hands-on experience lies. We do not attempt to include all the animals on earth. Instead of being shallow on what we know, we would rather be deep on what we know.
On our site, you will discover helpful information in terms of dog health, cat health, dog food and nutrition, dog training and grooming, pet hygiene, dog breeds, and senior cat care. All categories are constructed upon the questions that real pet owners are searching for each day, as opposed to questions that may sound impressive when asked in an editorial meeting.
You are in the right place when you have a senior cat that is no longer eating, a dog that keeps on scratching, a puppy that you are attempting to train for the first time, etc.
How We Write
Each of the articles begins with a real question. A query that a pet owner would literally type into Google at 11 pm because he or she is concerned with his or her animal. To answer that question, we do the research correctly, examine what the veterinary science says about it, and then compose an answer that can be understood and applied by an ordinary person.
We do not stuff our articles with fluff. We do not put the same point in five words, in other words. We also value your time, and we also value your understanding capacity in getting information as long as it is clearly presented.
We have linked to the source where we have used the statistics or the source of health guidelines. When we do not know something that is truly uncertain in the world of veterinary, it is better that we say so than act as though we know when we do not.
A Note About Veterinary Advice
There is an important point we would like to make clear. The advice of a qualified veterinarian is not something that can be found on this site. We are a means of information, not a means of service.
Should your pet be exhibiting any form of illness, pain, or distress, then make a direct call to your vet. Take what you get here to learn how to be a better (not a purer) pet owner, rather than to postpone professional attention. Your pet’s health is always the priority.
